Body formed for standard publication of pry textbooks

Parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Primary and Mass Education formed a five-member sub-committee on Wednesday to ensure standard of the primary- level textbooks, reports BSS.
Shamsul Haque Chow­dhury and Umme Razia Kazol were made convener and member secretary of the committee respectively after the JS body held its 16th meeting with President Md Motahar Hossain in the chair.
The other members of the committee are: Nazrul Islam Babu, Md Abul Kalam and Ali Azam, said an official release.
During the meeting, the JS body held a detailed discussion on standard of printing of the textbooks by NCTB (National Curriculum and Textbook Board) and suggested ensuring standard publication of primary level textbooks for the 2016 academic year.
Among others, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman, Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, Nazrul Islam Babu, Md Abul Kalam, Ali Azam and Umme Razia Kazol, were present at the meeting.
