Body formed to examine facts

A fact-finding committee has been formed to examine the contents of a book titled 'Costume in Islam: Initial Sources and Terms' by Prof Hassanuzzaman Chowdhury, a teacher of Dhaka University's (DU's) Political Science Department, reports UNB.
The committee constituted by the Syndicate of the university will also examine what lessons the professor has taught his students in his classes and then submit a report, said a DU press release Saturday.
It said the fact-finding committee was carrying on its activities and its next meeting would be held in the office of the DU treasurer on June 10 at 3:00pm.
The students who attended the classes of Prof Hassanuzzaman have been requested to appear before the committee for interview at 3:30pm on the day, the release said.
It said if anyone wanted to submit written statement in this regard had been requested to send it to the DU treasurer within date mentioned above.
