Body formed to probe BB fire

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has constituted an inquiry committee to investigate the fire caused by a short circuit at the central bank Tuesday morning, officials said. The fire incident occurred at the 'air handling' room, situated on the 4th floor of the 30-storey building at 9:30am, shortly before the morning rush hour, a BB statement said. The power supply, however, was restored within one hour, the central bank officials added. Fire Service was called, but the blaze was brought under control immediately by the BB staff using the firefighting equipment. — FE Report
