Body formed to probe clash between DU students, DMCH interns

Hospital authorities have formed a six-member investigation committee to probe the clash between intern doctors and Dhaka University students at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The university proctor and the hospital director, along with other officials concerned, held an emergency meeting at the administrative block of DMCH around 10pm on Wednesday to defuse the crisis stemming from the clash that broke out on Wednesday evening centering medicine supply to a DU student coming to take treatment at the hospital's emergency department.
During the meeting, the probe committee was formed to investigate the incident, with a report expected by Saturday.
Speaking after the meeting, Brigadier General Asaduzzaman, director of the DMCH, said the committee includes Dean of the DU Medical Faculty Professor Nadim Mohammad, two assistant proctors, two deputy directors of DMCH, the intern coordinator, and the Deputy Commissioner of Ramna Division Police.
