Body of foreign student found in IUT lake

Mystery shrouded the death of a foreign student at Islamic University of Technology (IUT) under Tongi Police Station in Gazipur district. Police recovered the body of Nigerian student Tahir Monir Adim from the lake of IUT campus on Saturday night. The body was recovered around 10:45pm yesterday, police said. Nigerian citizen Tahir Monir Adim, 26, was a third year student of the university’s computer science department. Adim was unconscious when he was recovered from the lake and declared dead when taken to the Tongi Government Hospital, police said. When contacted, IUT Vice Chancellor Imtiaz Hossain said an enquiry has been ordered into the incident, according to a news agency.
