Body of missing boy found in Shitalakhhya

The body of a schoolboy was recovered on Sunday from a canal of Shitalakhhya River in Narayanganj eight days after he went missing. The deceased was identified as Sabbir, 11, a class III student of Gopchar Government Primary School and son of Mobarok, a boatman and resident of Gopchar in Sadar upazila. Hands and legs of the victim were tied when police recovered the body from the canal in Morsina area in the upazila. The victim’s family alleged that, Sabbir had a quarrel with his classmates several days ago before he went missing earlier this month. Mobarok filed a general diary (GD) with Narayanganj Sadar Police Station on March 13, according to a news agency.
