Body on Ctg seashore identified

Police have identified the body of a man found on the seashore of Sitakunda Upazila in Chittagong district. The deceased was identified as Anjan Chowdhury, 45, a rice mill worker in Bibirhat under Fatikchhari Upazila of the district, Sitakunda police said. Local residents had found the man lying dead on the Salimpur beach near Fouzdarhat Link Road in the upazila on Wednesday night. Police recovered the body on Thursday and took it to the police station. Preliminary investigations revealed injury marks on the head. Police, quoting the victim’s relatives, said that Anjan had spoken to his wife over the mobile phone for the last time around 9.30am on Wednesday.
