Body to deal with bank CEOs\\\' alleged irregularities revived

The central bank has revived its four-member standing committee to deal with alleged irregularities of chief executive officers (CEOs) of all commercial banks.
The committee, headed by Nazneen Sultana, deputy governor of the Bangladesh Bank (BB) will submit its recommendations to the governor for action against any top executives of the banks after hearing the allegations.
"The BB governor will take action against the chief executives in line with the committee's recommendations," a BB senior official told the FE.
He also said activities of the committee remains suspended for more than two years.
