Body to probe 2001-post polls violence formed

The government has set up a three-member judicial committee to probe the 2001 post election violence, its causes and persons responsible for it.
The committee has been set up as per directives of a Bench of the High Court, reports BSS.
Former District and Sessions Judge Md Shahabuddin will head the probe committee.
The two other committee members are Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home AKM Monwar Hossain Akand and Special Superintendent of Crime Investigation Department (CID) Mir Shahidul Islam.
The committee will complete the probe within the next four months and submit the report to the authorities concerned.
