Bogra medical college\\\'s female hostel robbed

Armed miscreants stormed a hostel for female students of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogra on Friday and made away with money, gold-made jewelry and electronic gadgets. Angry students, in protest, have announced a boycott of classes today (Saturday). Bogra Sadar Police Station’s OC Faijul Haque said a gang of armed miscreants raided a common room of the first-year students late at night. He said the robbers rendered them unconscious with chemicals and fled with 15 mobile phones, three laptops, an unspecified amount of cash and jewelry. The hostel’s Superintendent Dr Sushanto Kumar filed a case over the robbery at Sadar Police Station, he added. Some students, asking not to be named, told bdnews24.com that the robbers had tried to violate several of them.
