Bogura AL president Momtaz Uddin dies

BOGURA, Feb 17 (UNB): Freedom fighter and Awami League leader Momtaz Uddin passed away here early Sunday. He was 74.
Momtaz Uddin, district Awami League president and a member of the party's central working committee, had been admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital at 9pm on Saturday after suffering a heart attack.
Momtaz Uddin breathed his last around 5am on Sunday, said family sources.
He left behind his wife, two sons and two daughters as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister and Awami League (AL) president Sheikh Hasina on the day expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Md Momtaz Uddin.
