Bogura DB recover 30,000 Yaba pills in Dhaka

Bogura DB police in a drive seized 30,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from a house in Dhaka on Sunday, reports UNB.
Tipped-off by a drug peddler, the DB police recovered the stash of the narcotic item carrying out a drive at the house located in Mirpur.
At this time, Fayez Uddin, an accomplice of drug peddler Faruk Mia (25), was detained in this connection. A case has been lodged against them with Bogura Sadar thana under the Narcotics Control Act.
Bogura DB police informed that on August 16, law enforcers detained Faruk along with his wife Nipa Begum and two other accomplices from the Charmatha area of Bogura. He was subsequently taken on a two-day remand for interrogation.
During remand, he informed police that there was a large stash of Yaba tablets at the house in Dhaka rented by him.
As per his information, a team of DB police led by OC Aslam Ali seized the contraband Yaba tablets which were found in school bag during a drive past midnight in Mirpur-1 of Dhaka, and detained Fayez Uddin.
