Bomb blasts hurting 2 children in Sirajganj

Two children received injuries as a crude bomb they were playing with mistaking it for a toy went off at Chand Mituani village in Belkuchi Upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday. The injured children were identified as Sizan, 5, son of Harun-or-Rashid, and Sabuj, 7, son of Rafiqul Islam of the village. Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station, said Sizan and Sabuj found an object, containing the crude bomb, which blasted all of a sudden with a big bang after they started playing with it taking it for a toy in the afternoon. Both the legs of Sizan and right hand of Sabuj were badly damaged by the explosion. Later, the injured children were rushed to a local hospital. A case was filed in this connection, according to UNB.
