Bomb explosion kills youth in Moghbazar

A young man was killed in a crude bomb explosion in Moghbazar area of the capital on Wednesday evening.
The victim, identified as Siam, 24, died instantly when miscreants hurled the bomb from Moghbazar flyover, which exploded on the ground below around 7:30pm in front of the Muktijoddha Sangsad.
Siam was an employee at Zahid Car Decoration, a shop located beneath the Moghbazar flyover.
According to Kamran, the shop's owner, Siam stepped out to get tea when the explosion occurred. "A crude bomb was thrown from the Moghbazar flyover, detonating on the ground below and killing him on the spot," he said.
Hatirjheel Police Station Inspector (Operations) Md. Mohiuddin said police were inspecting the scene. But he could not provide further details immediately.
This attack comes just weeks after a series of crude bomb explosions rocked various parts of Dhaka on December 13, injuring at least one person.
