Bomb recovered from house in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, June 30 (UNB): A bomb was recovered from the rooftop of a house at Purbamalsad village under Gangni Upazila Friday night.
The sources of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said house inmates of local businessman Asaruzzaman found the bomb on the rooftop of the house at about 11:00 pm and informed them.
Later, a team of RAB-6 rushed to the spot, recovered the bomb and defused it at a safer place.
RAB said some unidentified terrorists have been demanding toll from Asaruzzaman for the last few days. They suspected that the miscreants might have left the bomb on the rooftop to frighten Asaruzzaman as he refused to give the toll money.
