Bombs found at JU dormitory

Police seized 12 bombs Friday night from a dormitory bathroom of Jahangirnagar Nagar University (JU), reports bdnews24.com.
The bombs were disposed of safely upon detonation.
Police found nothing further after conducting a search of the dormitory's corridors, rooms and bathrooms in early Saturday.
Students had earlier found a suspicious-looking polythene bag in the bathroom of the first floor of Shahid Salam Barkat Hall and reported it to the university authorities.
Hall provost Shahnewaz and proctor Syed Md Kamrul Ahsan informed the Ashulia Police Station.
Shahnewaz said, "Students linked with sporadic conflicts or a militant group might have a connection with the incident."
