Book fair kicks off in city Sunday

A week-long book fair begins at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) in the capital on Sunday marking the club’s diamond jubilee. The book fair which will be inaugurated in the afternoon on Sunday will remain open from 3 pm to 8pm everyday except April 14. However, on April 14, first day of Bengali calendar, will be celebrated, the fair will remain open from 8pm to 10 pm. At the opening ceremony, noted writer and Professor Emeritus of Dhaka University Sirajul Islam Chowdhury will be present as the chief guest, according to a news agency.
