BOU VC Obaidul Islam elected to ACU Council

Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh Open University (BOU), has been elected as a Council Member of the prestigious Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), according to an official statement.
This year, the ACU Council selected prominent representatives from five countries: the United Kingdom, Canada, Sri Lanka, Namibia, and Bangladesh.
Dr. Islam is the sole representative from Bangladesh elected to this distinguished body. He will serve a three-year term on the ACU Council, from 1 August 2025 to 31 August 2028.
