BOU VC returns home after Japan visit

Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh Open University (BOU), returned on Sunday after attending a five-day international programme in Hiroshima, Japan, according to a statement.
Professor Islam participated as a special guest in the event titled "The Journey of Digital Transformation of Education in Bangladesh". The programme was jointly organised by Hiroshima Public University and the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA-COL).
During the event, the VC delivered an insightful speech, emphasising Bangladesh's progress in digital transformation within higher education, the expansion of open and distance learning, and the advancement of technology-driven education in the country.
Sohail Ahmed, Joint Director of the Media Division at BOU, accompanied the VC on this visit.
