Bourses see positive trends

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week. DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 29.61 points or 0.64 per cent to reach at 4,610.61, after first 30 minutes of the trade when the report was filed at 11am. The two other indices also saw positive trend. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips rose 17.16 points or 0.99 per cent to reach at 1,751.25. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 9.81points or 0.89 per cent to stand at 1,112.26. DSE turnover stands at Tk 721 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 150 advanced, 33 declined and 46 issues remained unchanged. IFAD Autos was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 119 million changing hands followed by BSRM Steels, Aman Feed, Beximco Pharma and KDS Acceosries. The port city bourse – the CSE also opened higher with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – advancing 48.71points to stand at 8,571.59, also at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 59 gained, 12 declined and 11 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 45 million.
