Boy crushed to death by truck in N\\\'ganj

A minor boy was killed as a recklessly driven truck knocked down him in Siddhirganj area of Narayanganj city on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Jisan, 7, student of Siddhirganj Government Primary School and son of Afsaruddin, a resident of Omarpur area of the city. Police said a truck ran into Jisan at about 5:45 pm as he was playing football in a field near his house while the driver was taking a turn of his vehicle, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Police also seized the killer truck but the driver and his helper managed to flee the scene. Abdul Matin, officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj Police Station, confirmed the accident. A case was filed in this connection, according to UNB.
