Boy found dead, youth lynched in Jessore

JESSORE, Apr 16: Abhoynagar police recovered the body of a student of class-V from the river Teka and a youth was lynched at Sujalpur under Kotwali police station in Jessore.
Abhaynagar police on Wednesday evening recovered the body of a brilliant student of class -V of Nehalpur Pre- Cadet School adjacent to Monirampur police station in the district. The student had been going missing since April 11, said Sheikh Nasir Uddin, officer in-charge, Abhaynagar police station.
The dead was identified as Sajedur Rahman Shahed, 11, the first boy of class -v at Nehalpur Pre-Cadet School and son of Saiful Islam Gazi of Pachakari village under Monirampur police station. Asaduzzaman, sub inspector, Bhabadah police camp told newsmen that the decomposed body of the boy was recovered afloat from the river at Chomordanga under Abhaynagar police station on Wednesday evening. The body was wrapped in a sack, he added.
Sheikh Nasir Uddin, officer in-charge, Abhaynagar police station told that on being informed by the locals the police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital for post mortem examination.
In another incident, Akbar Ali, 22, a suspected motorbike lifter and son of Faruk Hossain of Arabpur area under Kotwali police station, died at Jessore Medical College Hospital while undergoing treatment at around 1:30am on Thursday.
Shikder Akkas Ali, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station said that police rushed Akbar to the hospital in a critical condition after he had been beaten up by a mob on Wednesday night.
