Boy shot dead in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, June 3 (UNB): A minor was shot dead by some extortionists at Mohammadpur under Panchlaish thana in the city Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Asadul (11), a resident of Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of the thana Mohiuddin Mahmud said a local group of extortionists 'Tempu Bahini' led by Shohag demanded money from the local businessman Delwar.
However, Delwar denied to pay the money that angered Shohag and his men.
On Tuesday night, Shohag along with his supporters went to Mohammadpur area to kill Delwar.
At a stage, they shot Delwar but the bullet hit Asadul instead of the businessman around 8:20 pm, leaving him injured.
Later, Asadul was whisked off to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A case was filed against four people in this connection.
