BPGMEA gets president, secretary gen

The Bangladesh Plastic Good Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BPGMEA) elected its president and other office-bearers for the 2022-2023 term on Saturday.
Shamim Ahmed has been re-elected president of the BPGMEA and Narayan Chandra Dey secretary general, according to a press release issued by the trade body.

Giasuddin Ahmed was also re-elected senior vice-president of the organisation while KM Iqbal Hossain and Quazi Anwarul Haque stayed in the same position as vice-presidents.
BPGMEA election board chairman Abdur Razzak, as per the directives of commerce ministry, declared the election result of office-bearers on the day at the BPGMEA's Paltan head office.
Besides, as per the ministry's order, seven new members, divided into general and associate groups, were elected to the vacant positions of the board of directors of the association.
Other directors are Md Yusuf Ashraf, Humayun Kabir Bablu, Md Enamul Haque, Md Abdul Mannan, Abdul Kader Jilani, Md Khorshed Alam, Md Jashim Uddin, Ferdous Wahed, Shahedul Islam Helal, Mosaddequr Rahman Nannu, Md Golam Kibria, Md Yaqub, Noor Alam Bacchu, ATM Syeedur Rahman Bulbul, Md Shahjahan, Aman Ullah and Abdur Rashid Bhuiyan.
