BPGMEA new office-bearers take charge

The newly-elected office-bearers of Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) took charge at a function at the BPGMEA conference room in the city Sunday, said a press release.
The BPGMEA election for the term 2009-2010 was held in the city recently.
Newly-elected president Ferdous Wahed, Senior Vice-president AKM Zahirul Qayum Khan Tipu, Vice-president Mohammad Hasan and General Secretary Shamim Ahmed took the charges at the function.
Members of the BPGMEA election board, advisers, former presidents, general secretaries and other elected office-bearers were present on the occasion.
Mr Wahed was elected president of the association unopposed.
Senior vice-president, vice-president and general secretary of the association were also elected uncontested.
After taking charge, Mr Wahed thanked everyone for electing him to such a prestigious and responsible post.
He said that the present situation was very crucial for the economy and a collective effort of the business community was needed to bring momentum in the economy.
