BR incurs Tk 6.15b loss in 10 months

Bangladesh Railway (BR) incurred a loss of some Tk 6.15 billion in the current fiscal year till April, Railways Minister M Mujibul Haque told Parliament on Thursday. The revenue of Bangladesh Railway was Tk 5.57 billion in the first 10 months of fiscal 2013-14, while its expenses totalled Tk 11.72 billion, he said replying to a tabled starred question from Mohammad Noman (Laxmipur-2) , according to a news agency.
