BR to purchase 70 locomotives under suppliers’ credit

Bangladesh Railway is set to procure 70 diesel locomotives under suppliers credit as part of its long term plan. "The locomotives would be procured to improve train service," Railway Minister Mohammad Mazibul Hoque said. He said Bangladesh Railway (BR) has already brought a large number of locomotives, Diesel-Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU), coaches, wagons, oil tankers and cranes, aimed at providing better service to the people. — BSS
