BRAC Bank, AIBL sign remittance, payment deal

BRAC Bank Limited and Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) recently signed an agreement on EL DORADO, an electronic Remittance and Payment System, said a press release.
BRAC Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) AEA Muhaimen and AIBL Managing Director MA Samad Sheikh signed the agreement on behalf of the respective banks.
BRAC Bank head of Treasury and Financial Institution Mohammed Rahmat Pasha, head of Enterprise Risk Management and Acting COO Shah Alam Bhuiyan, and head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Abedur Rahman Sikder were present on the occasion.
Other senior officials of both the banks took part in the signing ceremony.
EL DORADO will enable customers to transfer money electronically within Bangladesh in the quickest possible way. EL DORADO is being developed under the Remittances and Payments Challenges Fund (RPCF) jointly sponsored by DFID, UK and Bangladesh Bank.
