BRAC Bank donates Tk 5.0m to ICDDR,B

BRAC Bank Limited has donated ICDDR,B Tk 5.0 million (50 lakh) to complete the extension of the BRAC Bank Short Stay Ward and Emergency Triage Area at its Dhaka Hospital under the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
BRAC Bank Chairman Muhammad A (Rumee) Ali handed over the cheque to ICDDR,B Executive Director Alejandro Cravioto at the hospital in the city Monday, said a press release.
Also present during the handing over ceremony were BRAC Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) AEA Muhaimen and Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Syed Mahbubur Rahman along with other senior officials of the bank and the hospital.
The BRAC Bank chairman assured ICDDR,B, a designated CSR partners of the bank, that future collaborations would be explored, especially in the area of children's health.
The CSR partnership between BRAC Bank and ICDDR,B started in 2007 when the bank initially contributed Tk 23,39,388 to develop the BRAC Bank Short Stay Ward.
