BRAC Bank introduces first ever Planet Card

BRAC Bank Saturday introduced a card that helps making the planet greener.
The Planet Card, first ever in Bangladesh was unveiled at a press conference in the city by Dr. Mahabub Hossain, Executive Director of BRAC and Mr. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank Limited.
At the launching ceremony, Dr. Mahabub Hossain, also an internationally renowned development economist said, "Our planet needs our help. The Planet Card is a means of providing that help where the customers and the bank joins hand in making a greener planet."
Mr. Syed Mahbubur added, 'We have only one earth and everyday whatever we do affects this planet in one way or the other. BRAC Bank has always been working on various initiatives with our 3P (Planet, People, Profit) philosophy in mind. This Planet Card is one step forward in bringing our guests join the same endeavors."
“The Planet Card is not your usual Debit Card. You can contribute to create a Green Fund from your standard Debit Card Fee by simply subscribing for a Planet Card and BRAC Bank matches that amount that supports various CSR initiatives like managing waste properly, distributing free plants and funding renewable power sources,” the CEO said.
“BRAC Bank believes together we can change the world, We trust in the people of this world and their potential to protect this planet.”
