BRAC Bank launches post-maternity return-to-work support programme

BRAC Bank has introduced a post-maternity return-to-work support programme to enable new mothers to transition back to work with confidence, dignity, and sustained wellbeing.
Designed as a holistic journey rather than a single intervention, the programme offers structured support before, during, and after maternity leave. It addresses the emotional, medical, managerial, and workplace realities faced by working mothers, reinforcing the bank's commitment to creating an inclusive and enabling work environment, says a press release.
The programme focuses on thoughtful planning ahead of maternity leave, continued connection and care during time away, and a supportive reintegration upon return. It includes access to professional counselling and medical guidance, optional engagement touchpoints during leave, sensitisation sessions for teams and people managers, and flexible work arrangements to support a smooth transition back into professional life.
Returning mothers will receive tailored reintegration support, including flexible work hours, peer support within teams, and practical resources to ease their return to work.
The initiative also prioritises emotional support. Returning mothers will have group sessions on post-partum depression, ongoing counselling, and information on day-care and caregiver facilities, showing the bank's commitment to well-being beyond the workplace.
The programme further defines clear roles for line managers and HR Business Partners. It ensures fair performance evaluation, unbiased reintegration, and outcome-focused management.
