BRAC Bank launches 'Sammriddhi' for light engineering sector

BRAC Bank Limited recently launched 'Sammriddhi', a loan scheme for the country's light engineering sector, with the support of SEDF-IFC.
BRAC Bank Head of Corporate Banking Khwaja Shahriar launched the scheme at a press conference, arranged by BRAC Bank and SEDF-IFC.
Among others, BRAC Bank Head of SME Banking Farzana Chowdhury, Manager (Marketing and Communication) Md Tanveer Rahman, and Unit Head (Medium Enterprise Unit of Corporate Banking) ASM Shahin along with SEDF-IFC sector development coordinators Mrinal Sircar and Rajeev Gopal were also present in the signing ceremony.
Under the 'Sammriddhi' scheme, the enterprises of light engineering sector will be able to avail funded and non-funded facilities for their business development at convenient and flexible terms.
The new scheme will help the sector to meet its working capital needs, asset-based financing and non-funded facilities including letter of guarantee and letter of credit. Under the scheme an enterprise can avail loans up to Tk 20 million (2.0 crore).
