BRAC Bank's Head of SME Banking Farzana Chowdhury recently participated in an international conference on "SME Banking and Financing", organised by Marcus Evans at Mumbai in India.
She was the only guest speaker from the country, who made a presentation on 'SME Banking in Bangladesh', and was also a panelist of the session.
The conference was intended to disseminate the concept of moving from corporate to a consumer-lending approach. It also highlighted the adoption of "Cluster Approach" to enhance the SME-financing capabilities.
