BRAC Bank teams up with Air Astra

BRAC Bank has signed an agreement with the country's newest private airline, Astra Airways Limited (Air Astra), to provide Payment Gateway and Point-of-Sale (POS) services for the airline's online and offline ticket sales, says a press release.
This arrangement will enable Air Astra to accept payments for ticket purchases from travellers holding VISA, JCB and MasterCard. The customers of Air Astra can make their payments through its official website airastra.com, mobile app and sales outlets across the country.
The partnership also enables Air Astra to initiate refund/cancellation requests of tickets purchased through cards with faster processing time using BRAC Bank's online Merchant Service Portal.
In addition, Air Astra will avail of BRAC Bank's Transaction Banking solutions for managing its payments through Bank's internet banking platform for corporate customers -- CORPnet, which enables paperless banking to execute various domestic payments, including utility bills, VAT, etc.
