BRAC Bank has, for the third consecutive time, been named the Best Bank in Bangladesh by Asiamoney - a leading financial publication in the Asia-Pacific region, said a statement.
The award was announced on March 31, 2020, in the following link: https://www.euromoney.com/article/b1kr2x9gjb3qn1/asiamoney-best-bank-awards-2020-bangladesh.
Every year, Asiamoney, a division of the global media group Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, identifies banks in each market that have excelled across a range of core banking activities over 12 months.
Selim RF Hussain, the bank's Managing Director and CEO said: "We are pleased to see that BRAC Bank's strong focus on corporate governance, dedication to a values-based agenda, and commitment to delivering good financial results have together been recognized by Asiamoney. The Bank has, in the last few years, achieved great prominence in the Bangladesh market and we are committed to much greater growth going forward"
BRAC Bank is a founding, and indeed the only Bangladeshi bank that is a member, of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) - an international banking forum that promotes a social agenda, focusing on people, planet and prosperity for all. The Bank is also a member of the Financial Alliance for Women, an international forum of financial institutions that promote banking for women.
"The BRAC Bank family is pleased to have been recognized again as a standard-bearer for corporate governance, financial performance, and values-based banking in the Bangladesh banking industry. Achieving such awards and success would not be possible without the dedication of our Employees, the 'unwavering trust' of our Customers and the guidance of our Board of Directors and our Regulators", Hussain added
