BRAC distributes over Tk 0.7m to Magura girls

MAGURA, Apr 7: BRAC distributed cheques of Tk 0.7 million (7lakhs) and among 49 girls in Magura Monday. Each girl got Tk 15000.
The distribution ceremony was arranged at BRAC Parnanduali office of Magura Rafiqul Islam, deputy director, Magura Social Welfare Department was the chief guest while Magura BRAC coordinator Rokeya Begum was in the chair.
Earlier, BRAC trained the 49 girls to develop their working skill. The money was distributed money with a view to making them self reliant.
BRAC has been running the programme from 2010.
