BRAC Univ holds orientation prog

BRAC University (BRACU) organised an orientation programme for freshers of spring 2019 semester at the Golf Garden of Army Golf Club in the city on Sunday said a press release.
The event started with video message by Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, KCMG, Chairperson of Board of Trustees, BRACU and Chairperson of BRAC, welcoming the students. He encouraged students to have success in their academic performance.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Tamim said BRACU is different to any other universities in our country. It creates leaders and encourages free thinking. He also expressed the hope that present-day students will take the lead of different sectors of our country in future days.
He urged students to utilise the opportunity of learning in next four years of university life and not to waste it away by losing focus.
Registrar Lt Col Md. Foyzul Islam (Retd) gave a brief on university administration and student discipline in his concluding speech.
A BRACU alumni shared his experience of campus life with the freshers.
Director of the BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL), chairpersons of several departments and other officials of BRACU, were present at the event.
