BRACU women become champions in inter-university volleyball tournament

BRAC University (BRACU) women's team became the champions at the inter-university volley-ball tournament "Spike Fest 2025" -- defeating Daffodil International University (DIU) 2-1 in a thrilling final on Monday.
DIU became the winner in the men's division, defeating Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) 2-0, according to a press statement.
The two-day tournament was organised by BRAC University for the first time on its campus in Merul Badda of Dhaka -- bringing together some of the country's leading private universities in a spirited celebration of sportsmanship and youth engagement.
In the men's category, the competing teams were from DIU, American International University-Bangladesh, North South University, IUB, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Green University of Bangladesh, Notre Dame University Bangladesh and BRACU.
In the women's category, the teams were from DIU, North South University, IUB, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, and BRACU.
At the women's final match, the DIU won the first set 15-11, but BRACU team made a strong comeback by winning the second set 15-10. Displaying remarkable resilience and teamwork, the hosts secured the title by clinching the deciding set 15-11.
The trophies were handed over by BRACU Treasurer Ariful Islam and Registrar David Dowland.
