MUMBAI, Dec 21 (Hindustan Times): Brad Hogg became the oldest cricketer to take a wicket in a T20 game on Thursday. Aged 46 years and 318 days, Hogg achieved this feat while playing for Melbourne Renegades against Hobart Hurricanes in a Big Bash League (BBL) match at Hobart.
Hurricanes batsman Matthew Short was his record victim as the opener was caught plumb in front by the Aussie weaker in his very first over. Hogg's achievement made him a darling of social media immediately. In no time, a number of posts and memes came on Twitter describing the Chinaman bowler's ageless run in cricket.
Brad Hogg made his international debut way back in 1996. A key member of the World Cup winning Australian teams of 2003 and 2007, he retired from Test and ODIs in 2008.
