Leading brand developers at a workshop Friday said branding is a growing and potential sector across the world that could be a new target for the university students.
Private television channel Independent, in partnership with the Bangladesh Brand Forum and the Volunteer for Bangladesh, organised the programme at the Business Studies Faculty of Dhaka University (DU) to encourage students towards brand development.
A number of resource persons including Country Consultant of Google Kazi Monirul Kabir, Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum Shariful Islam, Communication Specialist Razeeb Hasan Chowdhury and Founder-President of JAAGO Foundation Korvi Rakshand spoke at the event.
Mr Kabir said from the existing market competition, branding of products or organisations is a very crucial need, which also requires critical reasoning. He strongly urged the young entrepreneurs and brand enthusiasts to be equipped with sincerity and passion.
At the workshop, the speakers had interactive sessions and open-floor discussions about developing brands and exploring ways how to become a successful brand developer.
