BrandWitz-2008 final round held

The final round of BrandWitz 2008 -- the inter business school marketing competition -- organised by IBA Communication Club (IBACC) and CLEAR, a prominent brand of Unilever Bangladesh Limited, was held in the city recently.

The topic of the competition was 'Branding for Democracy: Developing a Communication Campaign that Defines and Promotes Fair Candidates to the Electorates for the Parliamentary Elections.'

The three finalist teams were American International University Bangladesh, Khulna University and Institute of Business Administration.

Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor SMA Faiz was present on the occasion as the chief guest.

DU Alumni Association President and former adviser of the caretaker government Syed Manzur Elahi and UBL Chairman and Managing Director Rakesh Mohan attended as the special guests.

Also present on the occasion were IBA Director Muhammad Ziaul Haq Mamun, IBACC Moderator Munir Khasru, chief judge NetValue Managing Director Mushtaque Ahmed, CitiBank NA Country Office Bangladesh Mamun Rashid and UBL Director (Brands and Development) Naushad Chowdhury.

There was a tie between Khulna University and Institute of Business Administration (IBA) for the first place and the second Runner-up team was American International University Bangladesh (AIUB).

24 teams from top 15 business schools took part in the competition. a
