Brazil posts 2014 inflation rate of 6.41 per cent

BRASÍLIA, Jan 10 (AFP): Inflation in Brazil hit 6.41 per cent in 2014, marginally below a government ceiling of 6.5 per cent but still the highest annual figure since 2011, the National Statistical Institute (IBGE) said Friday.
Prices rose in December by 0.78 per cent, above November's 0.51 per cent, but below the 0.92 per cent rise of December 2013, IBGE revealed.
