BRDB disburses loan among distressed women in B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, Feb 22: Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB), Sadar Upazila, recently distributed loan among distressed women of the Upazila in the district for creating employment opportunities.
The loan distribution function was held at the Sadar Upazila auditorium with Md Borhan Uddin Ahmed, UCCA chairman, in the chair, while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Abdul Hye distributed the loans as the chief guest.
Deputy Director of BRDB Md Sirajul Islam and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zohra Begum were also present as the special guests on the occasion.
A total of Tk 1.1 million (Tk 11 lakh) was distributed among 78 distressed women of three 'Mohila Samobay Samiti'. Each of the women received loan ranging from Tk 5,000 to Tk 15,000.
UP chairmen, upazila-level officials, local elite and journalists were also present on the occasion.
