BRDB disburses Tk 3.732m among destitute women

BARGUNA, June 11 (BSS): Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) disbursed Tk 3.732 million (37.32 lakh) as loan among 1200 destitute women in the district under its ongoing 'Samunnito Daridra Bimochan Karmashuchi' for the current fiscal year.
The BRDB has been disbursing the loan as part of its rural poverty alleviation programme to make women self-reliant.
The loan was disbursed to engage distressed women in various income generating projects like poultry, agriculture, pisciculture and various types of small and cottage industries, BRDB sources said.
