BRDB workshop on innovative microfinance for rural development
A day-long workshop on 'The role of Innovative Microfinance in Rural Development: Youth Power and Rural Entrepreneurship Development' organised by the Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) was held at BRDB's Conference Room in the city on Thursday. Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice chancellor, North South University, and chairman, Grameen Bank, was present as the chief guest. The workshop was presided over by Sardar Md. Keramat Ali (additional secretary), director general, BRDB, while Md. Ziaul Hasan, deputy director (planning) of BRDB, presented the keynote paper. Representatives from various ministries, divisions, directorates and agencies attended the workshop.
