Brick kiln worker shot dead in Chuadanga

A brick kiln worker was gunned down and another bullet-hit by miscreants at Kumari village under Alamdanga upazila in Chuadanga district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Sujon, 35, son of late Malek Mridha of Sahapur village of Ishwardi upazila of Pabna. Quoting locals, police said a gang of armed criminals stormed the factory of MR Bricks at 2:00am and beat up the labourers working there. They also fired shots on them, leaving Sujon dead on the spot and another labourer injured with bullets. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. The injured was admitted to a local clinic, according to UNB.
