A labourer, whose job is to load and unload bricks, was killed as he slipped down under the wheels of a truck on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway at Changil in Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet district on Thursday. The deceased identified as Alai Mia, 30, son of Abul Mia, hailed from Raghubasha village in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district. Locals said Alai was trying to get on a Sylhet- bound stone-laden truck while returning home with his co-workers but slipped off and fell under the wheels of the vehicle and died on the spot at 6.00 pm.
