Bridge over Katakhali river planned

GAIBANDHA, Feb 24 (BSS): A scheme has been taken to construct a 360-meter bridge over Katakhali River on Bonarpara-Ramnagar Road under Saghata Upazila in the district to remove the sufferings of people. Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) would implement the construction work of the bridge at the cost of TK 21 crore 83 lakh and 46,839, office sources said. Construction firm Parisha Trade System Limited, Dhaka would construct the bridge while Government of Bangladesh would provide the fund, sources said. Executive engineer of LGED M. Belal Hosain said the construction firm had already collected required materials and taken all out preparation to launch the construction work of the bridge in full swing as per schedule. The much-awaited bridge would be completed by June 2015, it is expected, he also said.
