Bridge work in Narsingdi in progress

NARSINGDI, Mar 2 (BSS): The construction work of 630-metre long and 9.1-metre wide bridge on Narsingdi-Karimpur Road over the Meghna River is progressing satisfactorily.
The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) is implementing the project at a cost of Taka 808.19 million.
Executive Engineer of LGED Narsingdi Salim Miah told BSS that about 40 per cent work of the bridge has already been completed and the rest work to be completed by June next year.
He added that after completion of the bridge, people of the char areas will be benefited. They can easily carry their perishable agricultural goods to upazila headquarters and Dhaka city.
