DSE woos Partex Group to go public
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) recently held a meeting with Partex Star Group to assess its associated and subsidiary companies' inherent capacity to go public. Israeli troops kill three Palestinians
Israeli forces killed three Palestinian militants in a firefight in the occupied West Bank early Saturday, police said, raising fears of further escalation of violence during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Israeli media said four members of a police counter-terrorism unit of the Israeli police were wounded, one of them seriously. Prices of essentials continued to spiral up in the port city last week despite the government's claim that its vigilance teams were monitoring markets round-the-clock to rein in price hike during Ramadan. Visiting different kitchen markets in city on Saturday, this correspondent found that prices of green chilli rose by Tk 30-40 per kilogram (kg), that of cucumber by at least Tk 20 and beef Tk 150 per kg over the last seven days.
